Wanted:  People Willing to Serve as Officers of the Jefferson County Democratic Party

Since the end of June, 3 officers have resigned:  Jo Ann Watson, Assistant Secretary, due to family matters;  Keith Igoe, Secretary, due to economic hardship; and very recently Cassie Howard, 2nd Vice Chair, due to a promotion at work requiring more of her time ( Wells Fargo gain is our loss).  We thank them for their dedication and service to the party and wish them well.

At the Central Committee Meeting on September 3, we will be holding elections to fill these three positions:  SECRETARY, 2nd VICE CHAIR and ASSISTANT SECRETARY. Wanted are people who have the time and skills to fill these positions.

The Jefferson County Democratic Party cannot function properly without a full panel of officers.  The vacancies have put tremendous stress and excessive work-loads on the remaining officers.

Your party needs YOU!  The pay is lousy, sometimes the hours are long, the frustration may be great but the goal of electing and keeping Democrats in office makes serving as an officer worthwhile.
